MSSFA Mission Statement:

The Michigan Steelhead  and Salmon Fishermen's Association (MSSFA) is a multi-state, non-profit organization dedicated to educating the general public on improving, preserving and promoting sport fishing in the Great Lakes and their tributary streams and rivers.  Commonly referred to as the Michigan Steelheaders, or simply Steelheaders, MSSFA represents sport fishing families in the governmental agencies, universities, professional agencies, MUCC, and other organizations to promote the wise management of anadromous trout and salmon and the waters they inhabit.

Mid Michigan Steelheaders

The Mid Michigan Chapter of the MSSFA provides members in the local area an avenue to participate in the orgainzation.  Concerns and questions can be brought to the Mid Michigan chapter and when needed elevated to the state organization.

The Mid Michigan Chapter also provides for social interaction between the members with planned meetings and activities.  The local chapter also does public service in the local area such as MUCC kids camp sponsorship and Free Fishing Weekend kids fishing days.
